<p><span id="more-1770"></span>After 21 years as a Madison Ave Copywriter/Keyword expert, I am startled with how little people understand not only the keyword game (one best played in blogs) but also how important it is that the content that goes into those blogs move that traffic through to the main website.</p>
<p>Before anything else, you need to be able to write fairly consistently and at a steady pace. Three or four entries a week doesn&#8217;t seem like much at the start, but after a while it can wear even the most devoted writers down. It&#8217;s just like any job &amp; sometimes you get bored with it and you step out for a day or two, but the Internet is a far more demanding ruler than many bosses. Plus nothing feels better than knowing you have a blog making money. When you have a solid and devoted following, you can afford to miss one or two days or even weeks. Some sites even go a month without updating, but at the very start, you need to be able to stick to it like white on rice.</p>
<p>For those who open blogs based on products, you&#8217;re in luck &amp; you can probably get on the affiliate bandwagon and make some money that way. Now, how does that work? It&#8217;s fairly simple. Being an affiliate to a website basically means that you&#8217;re advertising them on your website, either by having content related to the main website and linking to them or by showing their ads on your site. Payment isn&#8217;t like it is in other media industries though. The Internet&#8217;s just a different field than television, one that requires a different payment method.</p>
<p>Generally, the setup is a pay-per-blank, wherein the blank is something that changes from group to group when it comes to blog making money. Most people go for the pay per click variant, which means exactly what it suggest &amp; payment only occurs once a viewer on your site clicks the link to their site. Another popular variant, one mostly for merchandise sites such as Amazon, is the pay-per-purchase variant. A user needs to do more than simply browse through the numerous items available &amp; they actually have to purchase something.</p>
<p>Starting a blog is easily one of the best things you can and must do if you are serious about getting natural traffic from the search engines.</p>
<p>Summary Learning how to make money blogging as an affiliate has long term appeal. It is a serious income stream and something that can be kept or sold at a later date. The interested business owner will of course go for it, since this can bring in great results for his business. But is it really all good things about this form of advertising?<span id="more-307"></span>Pay per click, like any other advertising tool, may also have some pitfalls, and it pays to heed these issues when doing pay per click marketing. 

To have a clear picture of the drawbacks of pay per click marketing, here are four of the major issues in PPC campaign.</pre>
<ul>
<li>Cost. Implementing a pay per click campaign can hurt your budget if not properly done and if not being careful with it. In Yahoo! for example, setting your campaign to &#8216;auto bid&#8217; might give you more harm than good, as it automatically increases your bid to maintain your rankings. In PPC, you might also be competing for a keyword which will not give you your targeted results.</li>

<li>Return on Investment (ROI) can be difficult to measure. ROI is a measure of how much you gain per investment you have put in. In the case of pay per click, it may be hard to determine. You may need to have conversion tracker services to be able to know if you are making money.</li>

<li>Useless traffic. Yes, pay per click may bring you large volume of traffic in an instant but are these the people you need for your business? In pay per click, it is wise to get good traffic from major search engines to attract targeted audience. But somehow, in PPC, there is traffic that is not helpful in your campaign.</li>

<li>This marketing initiative will not scale. This means that the moment your site gets more traffic, you pat more money and cost per click is the same but overall cost will definitely increase.</li>
